	 TEXT:Entstanden 1485 durch die "Leipziger Teilung" der Ländereien des wettinischen Adelshauses auf die ernestinische und albertinische Linie. Dieses Objekt (albertinisch) umfasst hauptsächlich die Meißnerischen Gebiete. Die thüringischen Gebiete und das Herzogtum Sachsen-Wittenberg (dem seit 1180 eigentlichen Kurland) fielen an die ernestinische Linie. Der Kurfürstentitel (die Kurwürde) blieb zunächst bei den Ernestinern. 1547 wurden die Kurwürde und das Gebiet des Herzogtums Sachsen-Wittenberg unter der Bezeichnung "Kurkreis" an das nunmehr albertinische Kurfürstentum Sachsen übertragen.:TEXT,
